Daniel Kruid is a Senior Trial Attorney at AlderLaw whose practice is focused on personal injury litigation and trial. Over the course of his career, he has handled more than 1,000 injury cases and tried more than 40 cases to verdict, giving him extensive experience on both sides of the courtroom.

Before joining AlderLaw, Daniel spent nearly a decade as trial counsel for an insurance company, ultimately becoming part of its high-exposure trial team responsible for cases involving catastrophic injuries, traumatic brain injuries, and wrongful death. That experience provides Daniel with a distinct advantage in representing injured clients today. Having spent years evaluating and defending claims from the other side, he understands how insurance companies assess risk, develop defense strategies, and approach cases headed for trial.

Daniel’s practice encompasses a broad range of matters, including automobile and trucking collisions, motorcycle, bicycle and pedestrian accidents, premises liability, catastrophic injury, traumatic brain injury, wrongful death, elder abuse, and employment matters. He has tried cases involving some of the most serious and complex injuries and is known for his ability to take challenging cases from litigation through verdict.

His results include a $29.76 million verdict in Prieto v. Conner in Alameda County and a $2.45 million federal award in Salgado v. United States. Since joining AlderLaw in 2023, Daniel has led his litigation team to more than $100 million in settlements, verdicts, and awards on behalf of clients.

Daniel is also an active leader within the trial bar. He is a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA) Inland Empire Chapter and served as its President in 2025. He is also involved with Cal-ABOTA and The National Trial Lawyers.

Daniel earned his Juris Doctor magna cum laude from Western State University College of Law after earning his Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice cum laude from California State University, Long Beach.

Outside the courtroom, Daniel and his wife, Summer, stay busy raising their five children. Much of his time away from the office is spent coaching and supporting their baseball, softball, and soccer teams, tackling an ever-growing list of projects around the house, caring for the family’s dog and chickens, and, when time allows, fitting in the occasional round of golf.
